Christmas & the Festive Season at The Farmhouse
There is something truly special about our 600 year old Farmhouse, it comes alive in the winter with our fireplaces decked, hearths blazing and decadent meals. We know how to throw a good party too, be that for large groups in The Barns at Redcoats or an intimate dinner in our cosy private dining rooms, The Oak Room, The Victorian Room and The Old Kitchen.

Looking to celebrate with family & friends this festive season?
Sherwin Jacobs, our Executive Chef, and his experienced kitchen team has crafted a delectable farm-to-fork menu that showcases the season's finest produce.
Begin your evening with pre-drinks in our historic bar at the heart of the Farmhouse. Enjoy the welcoming Orangery for your dinner, then retreat to the lounge for some night-cap cocktails or a glass of port from our extensive list.
Private Dining
For those seeking a more intimate setting, we offer three private dining rooms providing a memorable backdrop to your Festive celebrations: The Old Kitchen which accommodates 8-10 guests, The Oak Room suitable for 10-13 guests, and The Victorian Room which can host 14-16 guests.
All parties in our private dining rooms will indulge in the festive menu. If you're planning a smaller dinner, even just for two, you can still choose the festive menu. Please inform us and pre-order in advance.
Festive Menu
Our festive menu will launch on Friday 24th November.
We'll collect pre-orders prior to your arrival, so when you get to us, all you'll need to do is relax, sip your drinks, and we'll take care of the rest.

Barns Sharer Christmas Parties
Searching for the ideal spot to revel in festive cheer with friends or colleagues? Look no further than the Barns at Redcoats, Hitchin. Join us for our special Sharer Lunch on Thursday 21st December 12pm-3pm. At £60 per person, you'll be welcomed with a drink and treated to a delicious seasonal 3-course festive lunch.
But the festivities don't stop there!
We're hosting two Christmas Sharer Parties in the Barns on Thursday 14th and 21st December, running from 6.30pm until late. For £68 per person, not only will you enjoy an arrival drink and a seasonal 3-course festive dinner, there will also be music for you to dance the night away.
Please note, for our sharer lunches & parties, we have a minimum to a table of 8 guests and over.

New Year's Eve
Sunday 31st December from 6.30PM
Join us at The Farmhouse at Redcoats to celebrate the New Year in style. Begin your evening with an arrival cocktail, followed by a 6-course tasting experience that showcases the finest local, seasonal produce. Round off your meal with delightful coffee & petit fours. Afterward, you can unwind with cocktails in our lounge or snuggle up next to our outdoor heaters and fire pits, perfect for roasting marshmallows beneath a starry winter sky.
Tickets are £110 per person.
For those eager to dance into 2024, we can arrange special add-on tickets to our sister sites The Fox or The Hermitage Bar and Restaurant, where music and dancing await.

New Year's Day Lunch at The Farmhouse

Begin the New Year with lunch in the Orangery in the company of loved ones.
Use this time to enjoy delicious seasonal food, explore the Redcoats Ramble, and refresh with a Bloody Mary to shake off the New Year's festivities.

This festive season, give the gift of an ACI gift card* to your loved ones. You can add any value you like to be redeemed across any one (or a number of) of our independent sites. So you can treat them to a special meal, overnight stay, bottle of champagne or even a pint or two. We do specially designed Afternoon Tea gift card wallets here at The Farmhouse too.

Raising money for charity has been at the heart of the business, having raised over £100,000 in the past 10 years alone as well as sponsoring sports clubs, local charities and hosting events throughout the year to support causes close to our hearts, Macmillan to Mind and many other worthy causes in between.

Foodie Staycation Gifting
Treat someone special, or even yourself, to a Foodie Staycation at The Farmhouse. Prices start from just £250 for two people, which includes a 3-course dinner, a cosy night in one of our beautiful rooms, and a hearty Farmhouse breakfast. For a superior room, the rate is £270, and for a luxury room, it's £290.
